The setup has cost more than $100 million, the study said. A recent inspection found nearly 450 government employees and zero detainees.The U.S. military and contractors put up this tent compound in early 2025 at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, to house immigration detainees designated for deportation from the United States. They were taken down last year, never used.
